

Irene Alice King was born December 17, 1935 on a farm in Crystal Lake, Iowa and entered Heaven peacefully on February 19, 2016 in Seattle at the age of 80. Irene is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Richard L. King; daughter, Julie Moyer; sons, Lance (Rebecca) and Jeremy King; five grandchildren; and a sister, Gerry (Bill) Hart. In addition, Irene was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by infant son, Andrew; parents, Andrew and Alice Hanson; and siblings, Mildred Bauer, James Chodur, Betty Kaduce, Linda Mayo, Donald Chodur, Ilene Bailey, Ralph Chodur, Delores Norcross, Odella Broome and Kenneth Chodur.
Irene's greatest joys were her family, friends and the Bible. She showered everyone with kindness, love and hugs. Her favorite things were anything pink (especially flowers!), chocolate, coffee, shopping at Macy's, Western movies, mystery novels and classical music.
Irene's life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 N.E. 185th St. Kenmore, WA. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Seattle Arthritis Foundation.
