Linda Dar Alejo

Linda Dar Alejo was born December 23, 1927, in in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Linda married Feliciano Alejo Sr. when she was 21. They had their 1st of 12 children in 1948. They were stationed in Calamba Laguna. Linda ran a small Sari-Sari store in Fort McKinley Rizal. Shortly after they moved to Cuyapo where she was running a full house! She was a hard working mother, always doing her best to provide for her large family. Her first trip out of the country was to Frankfurt, Germany when she joined her 2nd Child Anselma Bonoan. She stayed for 6 months before returning to the Philippines. After a brief time back home, she made her way to America with the rest of the siblings where they made their home here in Seattle WA. 

Linda helped care for her grandkids providing a loving grandmotherly touch. Inang, as she became to be known, loved to cook! Her cooking had a strong fan base of her 12 kids, 29 grandkids and towards the end 30 great grandkids. In her later years Inang enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her smile lit up a room and her kind loving words always were remembered. Inang enjoyed her time on the Spanish 21 tables at Muckleshoot and the clacking of the Majong tiles with her close family friends.  Her ability to keep the count was something to witness.  

Jaime, the youngest of the 12, took care of Inang towards her later years bringing her here and there for parties and gatherings where again she was always waited for with great anticipation. Inang’s favorite sandwich was the fish-o-filet which in her later years she noticed got smaller.  Inang loved her family, she cherished the memories and the visits. She knew her great grandkids by name. Inang was an awesome mom, amazing grandmother, and an always loving Great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly.
