Faith had deep roots in the Seattle area. Born there with her twin sister Marcia to Hope and Olin Keller, Sr., she attended Laurelhurst Elementary and Roosevelt High Schools, and the University of Washington, earning a bachelor’s degree in business. She was a dedicated member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and made many friends there that kept in close touch throughout their lives. She was a diehard UW Husky football fan with season tickets most of her life. She also rarely missed a Seahawks or Mariners game on TV.
Faith had a rewarding 30 year career at University Hospital in Seattle in a variety of clinical roles, including in the Labor and Delivery department and as a Patient Care Coordinator in the Women’s Clinic. As a cancer survivor, she counseled scores of women over the years as they navigated through similar journeys, even being featured on local TV for her efforts.
Faith knew how to have fun, was always on the move and loved to socialize. Her family summer cabin on Puget Sound was a space for many extended functions filled with sports, campfires, beach walks, celebrations and fishing, On the latter, Faith was considered a premier fisherwoman who could go boating for hours on the water with a pole secure in her hand, never anxious to head home. No one could match her for speed in smartly untangling a hopelessly snarled fishing line and getting it back in the water in no time. She had a “never give up” philosophy on fishing: fish until you’ve run out of everything; She once was the only one on board a boat filled with seasoned fishermen to catch a large king salmon on the last run to the docks one night, using a pathetic tiny remnant for bait. That was a fish story recited for many years!
Above all, Faith’s most admirable trait was a lifelong passion for helping and caring for others; it was unsurpassed and omnipresent. Her drive to help nurse and nurture others often eclipsed—as was her preference—her own wants and needs. She always approached all new acquaintances as good friends. As a mother of 3 and a grandmother/great grandmother of 10, “Fifi’s” greatest joy was being with, loving and supporting them as well as the rest of her large family, and they all loved her dearly for it.
Faith never feared her ultimate passing, with a spiritual strength that kept her looking forward to the next life with the Lord and all her departed loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ron after 57 years of marriage, her brother Olin Keller, Jr., and brothers-in-law John Proctor and Keith “Kim” Kimerer. She is survived by twin sister Marcia, her sister-in-law Judy, her son John, daughters Kathy (Bruce) and Linda, as well as 10 grandchildren/great grandchildren, and a very close and loving extended family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Laurelhurst St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Seattle.
