

Robert W. Seabloom Jr. passed away peacefully on a beautiful sunny afternoon, at home in the house he built, overlooking Lake Washington, surrounded by love, best friends and his beloved dogs, Minnie, Tessa, and Becky at his side. Rob fought a courageous and determined battle against cancer. Rob grew up in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Seattle as a child, graduated from Nathan Hale High School (class of 1970) and the University of Washington with a BA. in Science.
Rob was predeceased in life by his high school sweetheart and wife of 38 years, Barbara J. Oyloe . He was also predeceased by Robert W. Seabloom & Joan E. Seabloom, parents. Rob is survived by Walt & Norma Oyloe, Mary Oyloe-Fenner, Jim, Erik, & Christian Fenner, Wendy J. Seabloom, sister, and cousins Carol Underwood & Nancy Lyons. Rob is survived by his friend of 30 yrs., his love and constant companion for the last 5, Patti Stormer, and her daughter, Larisa Brown.
Rob was the educated adventurer, a commercial fisherman for 32 years, building and designing his own boat He witnessed wildlife & landscapes few of us will ever see. Rob was a master builder who could create & build anything. He was known for his wit and sense of humor as the consummate practical joker. Rob was a talented trumpet player and a member of the Nathan Hale Jazz band winning a national contest in Reno, Nevada. Rob had a passionate love of music and a heart of courage and spirit dipped in 14K gold. He was a giant talent in many, many areas. Rob will be deeply missed by many. Seattle has lost one of its finest Rob flew on the wings of an eagle.
In lieu of flowers donations in Rob's name to Natural Resources Defense Council, the Seattle Humane Society, or Habitat for Humanity.
Memorial services will be held at Acacia Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11am. Reception to follow services. Please sign Rob's online guestbook view photos, and share memories.
