I remember seeing Ryan at Kenmore Middle School out on the half court in the back of the school. I went to supervise the kids between classes. He was always kind and enjoyed shooting hoops after lunch.  I have so many memories of watching Ryan play sports and seeing him and his dedicated parents by his side.  He was a great kid!   I think of your family so often and pray that your memories sustain you!

Ryan was my best friend i was so lucky to get to know him last year and he was always there for me with his kind open heart with no judgement and a tub of laughter and love.  I try not to be upset because i understand hes in a better place now but i just pray hes happy.

Ryan was an amazing person and one of the most impactful in my life. We were close in middle school I was a 6th grader at the time so I didn't get a lot of time with him but I didn't need to have more time (but I definitely wanted more time him), but I really miss him.  My deepest condolences.

I was never close friends with Ryan, but I remember in elementary school, if he ever saw me or another student upset, he would talk to them until they felt better. It never mattered who it was, he was always there for everyone. He was the sweetest most thoughtful person I’ve ever met before, I miss him with all my heart. Rest easy Ryan 🥺😭❤️

One time we were in history and we were partners and we had to be mother and son in the simulation and I was apparently 72 and he was 22.It was very unique to pick the big age gap between me and him.

I just want to give my respects to the Payne family in this painful time. There's nothing more painful than losing a child, I know I've been there. I'll pray for your family everyday. Just keep talking to him, it will help. 

Ryan was an energetic, passionate young man.  I have great memories of him helping me during Inglemoor Junior Football season and what a kind soul he was.  My deep condolences for the family as you grieve.  The community loved Ryan and is here for your family.  

Hey, I’m Gui(gee) and I just wanted to say that I am very sorry for your loss... Ryan was one of my best friends in kms, the first time I actually started a friendship with him was after a month since the beginning of the school year, I was one of the new students there and I was starting to make some great friends, and Ryan was one of them, he was a great person, he was kind and outgoing and we would always talk and be making jokes, some times he would take my binder and I would try to chase him, which was pretty funny, that’s one of the many good memories I have of Ryan, we had a handshake that we would do right before I got in my bus(which was my ride home) and the last time I saw him, we did that handshake and he said “ See ya later bro!”. To me that means that his memory and spirit is still alive inside of each one of the people that got to know him, including me. I know he is in a better place now, And he will never be forgotten. 

I am dearly sorry for your loss. It's still so hard to believe that Ryan is really gone.  The first week after his passing was very difficult, I could  barely function. It took me two whole days to even wrap my head around his passing. I knew Ryan well. I played football with him for five years, and I knew him since 1st grade.  He was the kindest and most loving person with the most caring heart. I will miss all of those  summer practices, and all of the rainy morning football games that I had with him. I will miss talking to him and seeing him in history class in the morning. It's sad for me to look at the seat that Ryan used to sit in during class. He was an outstanding football player, he really was the tackling machine. I remember going with him to the band room and messing around on the piano. I will miss playing flyers-up with him at lunch. I will miss playing with him on the big-toy at elementary school recess. He will be forever missed.
                                        

It's a strange feeling to miss someone you've never met, but It has made me understand how we must cherish every single person in our life,  because one day they will be gone and we will never get that time back. 
Ryan was my nephew and although we've never met ...I will miss you.





I'm sorry for your loss. Ryan was one of my close friends. The first time I met him we were sitting next to each other on our science class, and believe it or not my first impression on him, was how buff he looked like.  After a little while we became friends and he invited me to play football with him after lunch and he always had my back in all the classes I've had with him.
The most recent time was on Friday, in our history class we were suppose to choose a title for our presentation but my name wasn't on the board and well I wasn't paying any sort of attention to what was happening but then he raised his hand and told our teacher that my name wasn't on the board, and it was at that point that I understood my life that year was wasted. Thank you for being such a great friend 

Ryan was such a nice kid me and him were never very close. We were in the same PE class last year other than that we only had one class together and that was English where he sat directly in front of me. Even though we were not very close we would still talk. Last year in PE we were running the mile and it was the first time I had ever ran in it. On the last lap around the track I got a really bad side ache and could barely walk without being in a lot of pain and when Ryan saw that i was in pain he came over to me and motivated me to finish it.

I'am deeply sorry for your loss of Ryan Payne. I remember having him as a friend since 2nd grade, and also having him in some of my classes. I understand the feeling of losing someone, and so I share the same pain. Prayers go out to Ryan, and his family.

Ryan was a great friend over the years, through  football and school  he was always brave and took challenges head on,
One of my favorite memories with Ryan was our rookie year in football when we won our first game, everyone was ecstatic and we were all family. Ryan was always happy when he played football, through the losses and the wins you could tell he loved what he did,  he was a great team mate that helped everyone improve. he was a great friend and a great person he will be missed by us all. I was so very deeply saddened and hurt to have learned of this tragic accident.  It still makes no sense to me.  This is the only photo that I have of my second cousin Ryan and I.  He was so special to me and everyone he made contact with. I'm grateful for the outpouring of love and memories that are popping up on Facebook constantly.  Im hopeing my family can seek some comfort in all the love that is coming back.  It is clear how many hearts Ryan has touched and he is very dearly missed by many.  I love you all Heather, Rachael, Ryan, Mike, Aunt Eve and Uncle Jim.

The first time I met ryan was at Long Beach. He was one of the kindest people I had ever met. Although lying about his age to seem more appealing, he was a kind hearted loving person. Not knowing him for long I know people who were or are close to him will forever cherish the memories. Love you ry<3

Ryan,I will never forget how energetic you were,how much you loved cheering on your mom and the rest of Team Army at the Warrior Games. Your smile was infectious and watching you yell and cheer on the athletes was the best thing ever. Ryan,you left a legacy. You may be gone but you will not be forgotten. Love you bud.
