

In 1955 she came to the USA and graduated in 1956 from the College of ST Francis in Joliet, Illinois with a degree in Economics. In 1959 Susan met Clarence Huang through friends, Susan and Peter Lee, in Wilmington, Delaware. Clarence and Susan were engaged in Wilmington in 1961 and then married on February 10, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. From 1958 to 1962, Susan worked as a statistician for Brunswick Corp. in Chicago.
From 1962 to 1965 Susan Huang resided in St Clair Shores, Michigan and worked for the Michigan Employment Security. She then moved to Bedford Heights, Ohio in 1965 where she did not work but was engaged in activities related to the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. It was there that she befriended Mrs. Clifford Kwan-Gett, life-long friend and also mother of God-daughter Mei-Lin. From 1970 to 1999 she resided in Lake Forest, Illinois where she enjoyed success as a real estate agent and had numerous good friends. From 2000 to 2001 she resided in Dana Point, California. In 2001 Susan moved to Lake Forest Park, Washington. In 2004 her kidneys commenced to fail. Kidney dialysis was administered by the Northwest Kidney Center from 2005 through 2007 and again from 2011 through 2013. The combined techniques of the kidney dialysis and transplant prolonged her life for 9 additional years. She and Clarence enjoyed many happy years attending the Evangelical Chinese Church of Seattle. Susan succumbed to kidney failure and complications on November 22, 2013.
Susan’s cremated remains will be interred at Silverbrook Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware.
