I first met Bill in 2006.   I knew I wanted to change my career and Bill took a chance on me and let me take over managing one of his properties so I could go back to school.  My life is so much better now.  I live in a great community and I love my career.  I realize Bill was a pivotable person in the history of my life and I'm grateful for him.  I hope wherever he is he knows he's appreciated and his life had a positive effect on others like me.     Thanks Bill ❤️

Billy was a friend of mine when he lived near Des Moines.  We had quite a gang with the Parthum girls, the Lyon girls, my brother Aric, and others.  We had pine cones wars and played cops and robbers.  The Satroms and the Parthums moved away around '62 or so and the neighborhood was never the same.  I remember that walking to school with Billy one morning we decided to check out the swamp.  There was a fallen tree that hung out over the swamp and if you walked out on it you could watch whatever might be swimming around.  Billy dropped his lunch pail and it sank.    Hi, Danny, if you see this.  I remember the frogs that you tried to keep in a bucket in the garage.

Bill always provided a happy rather comic type of personality.  Knowledgeable at his self employed company.  Generous  with his food and drink at his yearly picnic. His sons never complained much about him. He lived rather Happy.

I was an au pair for the Satrom family in 1996. Bill treated me as an addition to the family.  I have the best memories of skiing and camping holidays (Bill took me down my first ski slope...it took a long time to get down!)
Bill never made it to the UK to visit me and my family, but he was still a huge part of my life and the memories that I share with my children.
