Angelo was born in the apartment above the Marra Drug Store on Paterson Plank Rd. in Secaucus. Angelo was one of proprietors of Marra Drug Store where he worked his entire life before retiring in 2012.
Angelo was an Army veteran serving as a corporal during the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 108 and a life member of the VFW both of Secaucus. He was a former member of the BPO Elks and a charter member and first president of UNICO National of Secaucus. He was named Secaucus Man of the Year along with his brothers.
Angelo was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Secaucus.
Angelo was very active with the Secaucus Little League where he coached for many years winning many championships during his tenure. He also played softball as a member of Charlies Corner softball team. He was a devoted Yankee fan.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris Brandt Marra who died in 2005. He was also predeceased by his sister Josephine Marra; his sister in laws Lillian O’Donnell and Doris Brandt, brother in law Arther Brandt; his sister in laws Lee and Greta Marra;
He is survived by his daughter Dora Marra and her husband Mark Titmas; his sons Angelo Marra II; Darin G. and his wife Michele Marra; his grandsons Darin and Frank Marra; his brothers and business partners Michael and Gerard Marra II and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Rd. Secaucus. A funeral mass will be said on Wednesday 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church Secaucus. Entombment will follow at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
