Edward T. West

Ed was born in Jersey City to Catherine and Raymond J. West, and lived in West New York, Ridgefield Park, and Secaucus, New Jersey throughout his life. Ed worked at Equitable Insurance Company in Manhattan, NY for more than 40 years.

Ed was a dedicated family man, an avid Mets fan (these are understatements - to put it mildly), a Sunday times crossword puzzle solver, and an all-around wonderful human being (another understatement.) He supported many charities and organizations. He was a kind person, always willing to help a friend or loved one. He will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing him.

Ed was predeceased by his siblings Raymond, Catherine, Thomas, and Mary. He is survived by his children Edward P. West and his wife Claudia, and Christine West and her husband Jeff, his grandchildren Christina, Kevin, and Gabby, and his sisters Claire, and Regina. Ed also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, close family members, and friends.

A visitation for Edward will be held Sunday, January 7th, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM (2-5pm Visitation; 5pm Funeral Service) at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ.
