Born in Hoboken, and raised in Union City, NJ, Mr. Cingirre lived in Union City for 66 years before moving to Secaucus 23 years ago.
He served in the United States Army during WWII and was in the D-Day Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as an Accountant for American Express for 32 years before retiring in 1985.
John is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 70 years, a brother-in-law Richard Potente and his wife Lorraine of Secaucus, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday November 30th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 1st at 9:30 am, Immaculate Conception Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Cingirre’s name may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
