Joseph Peter Burns

North Bergen, NJ- Joseph Peter Burns passed into Eternal Life on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was 76. Joseph was born in Franklin Township, NJ to Thomas and Elizabeth Burns. He has resided for the past eighteen years in North Bergen, previously from Secaucus. Joseph served his country proudly during the Vietnam War with the US Army. He was employed as a general laborer for the Township of Secaucus, and also worked for Sterling Drug Company. He was an exempt volunteer firefighter for the Secaucus Fire Department and a member of American Legion Post 118 in Secaucus. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Eileen (Tarrant) Burns of North Bergen, a son; Joseph Burns and a daughter Elizabeth Burns both of No. Bergen. Brother; Ronald Burns, and sister; Gerri Keller. Friends and family are invited Monday 4~8 pm to Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Rd Secaucus. A 10:45 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus.
