I know you’re looking out for everyone and watching over mom and Nathaniel. You were the best brother who helped raise me and the best dad towards Nathaniel. No one will ever be able to take that away or replace you. We always fight, make up but stick together always. ✨ 

Babe, losing you had to be the hardest thing I've ever been through in life. Words can never express what you meant to me. I remember that week clearly, we talked about the past and future. It was if God knew you had to go soon. I take it as my sign from God. I will love you forever and know that I feel your presence wherever I go. Babe this isn't a goodbye but a see you later. Rich went before his time and it breaks my heart.  My first cousin, My Mother's Brother's 1st-born Son.  We were 'thick as thieves'.....  kept me in-tuned with my roots in Jersey, while moving away to Virginia and coming up to visit every year in our youth.  I remember when we traded goods.. a video game (from me) for some nice clothes (from him), haha!  Rich had so many plans for the future! His life was a gift to all of his family and the community.

As adults, we stayed close.  Whenever I came back to Jersey, he was right there to welcome me Home.  We enjoyed lots of good times together and he was there for me when my Mother passed away.   He always made me laugh, he was never mean or angry.  We affectionately called him 'Little Richard'.

Rich was very respectful... He was a decent, upright, Honorable Citizen, Man of the People, and a Great Cousin, Son, Grandson, Nephew, friend, and Father!  

Brother, I miss you dearly.  Rest in Peace and Power.  Bless.  🙏🏾

Rich was one of a kind and I can say this confidently because everyone would agree. He was truly his own person but at the same time, selfless and full of love. 

You would see him, he would make the time for you and listen to what you had to say. Listen carefully and with an open mind.   If you needed an answer, he spoke elegantly and simply that anyone could understand.  If it was to debate, he would interject with forethought and intelligence.  

His talents reached beyond, not only the way he would articulate but with his ability to rhyme words in clever ways, find different outlets to express his feelings, always executedly as perfect as he wanted. Always progressing and learning.  

Rich and I knew each other long but we weren't close friends but to us, we didn't need to be. We knew that whenever we saw each other, we would pick back up where we left off.  We always found ourselves talking about what weird and wacky vinyl records we found recently. Almost always out of the garbage. We both had a love to share with each other new (and old) music that excited us enough to talk about it in length. Picking apart every detail that we could muster up.  I know alot of people where I do the same, but with him, it was unique and I will miss that it won't happen anymore. 

Rich celebrated the joy of life every day that I knew him and I will continue that joy for him.

Will miss you Rich. I will always remember my first trip to NYC and you showing me around, showing me how to ride the subway and buses and taking me to some foodie spots around Jersey City and NYC. Will miss your jokes and stories and seeing you post great pics on Insta and Facebook. Good bye for now and till we meet again.

Rich, you were my big brother since day one and always were my rock. You taught me how take a joke and give it back. You taught me how to play video games. You taught me how to cross the street. You taught me to love and also push buttons haha. Overall, you were amazing to me and I’m so sad you had to leave so quick. I wish I could ease your pain and be the one to go instead. Who is going to push my buttons and still love me when I push buttons back? You. Always you. We always put our differences aside when we needed each other. Mommy is going to be okay and it’s okay Richie. It’s not you’re fault and we know that. You’re our angel now. One day I will see you again for you to give me those tight bear hugs. Thank you for the 22 years you’ve given me and I’m so sorry I wasn’t given the chance to tell you thank you again. I’ve always thanked you and I wish I could’ve taken you back home...,but just know I never left your side  in the hospital in the room alone unless it was with a loved one or mommy. I fixed your hair and blanket for you. I love you even though I fought with you. I fought because I loved you. And I know you knew that. Richard thank you and I miss you even though it hurts.
