Rosemarie Gerrity (nee. Mazzo) 81, of Union City, passed away on Friday 6/21/13. She was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Union City. She was a loving homemaker, wife and mother. Rosemarie was a great sports fan who avidly supported the Giants, Yankees and Knicks.
Rosemarie was the beloved wife of the late Deputy Police Chief Walter Gerrity. She was the devoted mother of Mitchell and Scott Gerrity as well as the loving mother in law of Eileen Higgins – Gerrity. She was the dear sister of Ruth Silvestri and Gloria Siciliano and was also the cherished grandmother of Bernadette, Alexa and Matthew Gerrity.
The funeral will be on Wednesday 6/26/13 at 9:30am from the Leber Funeral Home then to Sts. Joseph and Michael Church where at 10:30am a mass will be offered. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The visitation will be on Tuesday 6/25/13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
