Rosemary Kwityn, 76, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. Born in Jersey City on October 19, 1949, the eldest of four children. She grew up and lived in the Heights before moving to Rutherford with her husband, Kenneth, in 1982.
Rosemary was a 1968 graduate of Dickinson High School and was accompanied to her prom that year by Ken, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of her life. She was a dedicated training supervisor at the United States Postal Service and counted her colleagues there not just as coworkers but also family. In addition, she spent many years behind the counter at the Manor Sweet Shoppe and later continued to enjoy catching up over coffee with other regulars at "the candy store."
Rosemary loved traveling, especially to see her lifelong best friend Rita (and husband, Ray) in Maine. She also accumulated many stamps in her passport, with notable trips to Italy and South Africa within the past several years.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Kwityn; son, Ed Kwityn, and his wife, Jasmine Kwityn; sister, Liz Aiello; loving nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family members. Predeceased by brothers Michael and William.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Monday, February 9th, from 4-8 p.m. at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094, and funeral services on Tuesday, February 10th, at 11 a.m. at Leber, with interment to follow at Holy Cross, North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rosemary may be made to ASPCA, a favorite charity of hers.
