Rosita Belleza Oclarit

Sadly, our beloved, Rosita Belleza Oclarit passed away on May 11,2025 ultimately succumbing to complications from diabetes and a broken heart. She was born on April 28, 1949 in Pampanga Philippines. She emigrated to the United States in 1972 and made North Bergen her home. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister and Apo (grandmother).

She was a dedicated and lifelong Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) member, where she served as a choir member/ leader for decades and as deaconess up until recently. She was known for her infectious smile and soft voice. She was courageous, inspiring, loving, and kind. Her views on love and life were to love compassionately and with respect to each other. She traveled the world and was always surrounded by her friends and especially her family. It was a life well lived, with Devotion to God, loyalty, laughter, love and family.

Her greatest joys and accomplishment was the immense love of her husband Vince (pre-deceased), her son Jovi and her dog Jogi( pre-deceased).She was also an amazing cook. She loved to cook for family and friends for dinners or special occasions. One of her many specialties was Pancit Palabok, a savory and saucy noodle dish that was always made perfect. She is survived by her son Joseph Vincent (Jovi), her siblings Amerecita Alfonso, Lolita Dacanay, Herminia Guevarra, Annabelle Yalong, Elizardo Belleza, Albert Belleza.

Two events will honor her life:

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd., Secaucus, NJ 07094. Final viewing and Interment will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 10:30 am at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd., Secaucus, NJ 07094. Interment will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:45 am at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Ave., Fairview, NJ, 07022.
