

Staff Sgt Joseph D'Augustine, 29, of Waldwick, NJ, enteded into the Gates of Heroe's on Tuesday March 27, 2012. Beloved son of Anthony and Patricia D'Augustine. Devoted brother of Michele, Nicole and Jennifer.
Joseph graduated from Waldwick High School where he excelled in football and wrestling.
The morning after he graduated high school Joseph went straight to Camp Lejune for boot camp.
Joseph served in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years.
His tours included Iraq (2), Afghanistan (2), South Korea, East Timor and Okinawa.
He was stationed/resided in many locations but most notably in Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA and Camp Lejune in North Carolina.
He is a member of the Waldwick American Legion and enjoyed fishing, golf and other outdoor activities. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
On Tuesday April 3, 2012 Staff Sgt. Joseph D'Augustine will be brought home to Waldwick as we honor him with a "Hero's Return" through the streets of Waldwick. Beginning at 12 Noon, the Procession will exit off of Route 17 North, pass his home, travel up East Prospect Street through the center of town. The procession will make a left turn onto Franklin Turnpike and right turn onto Wyckoff Ave. Once it reaches Waldwick High School, the procession will make a u-turn and travel back down Wyckoff Ave, ending at St. Luke's Church on Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ where the family will gather for a private viewing.
The family will receive their family & friends from 2PM to 9 PM at the church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00AM at St. Luke's with interment to follow at the St. Luke’s Church Cemetery. Please omit flowers instead, the family requests donations in memory of Joe be made to "Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation" "Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation" or the "Semper Fi Fund".
