

William "Bill" Csontos, age 79, of Secaucus, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Bill was born in Jersey City to the late William J. Csontos and Ann (Flanagan) Csontos. He was a Master Plumber and worked for the family company Windsor Mechanical of East Windsor, NJ and a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his Loving wife Marilyn (Sonnen) Csontos; his Devoted Children Jennifer Neglia, and William John Csontos and his wife Reva; his Step Son Keith Vukan and his wife Michelle; Cherished grandchildren John Ryan Csontos, Kevin Csontos, Rebecca Neglia, Emily Neglia, and Rachel Neglia; his Step grandchildren, DJ Vukan, Keith Vukan Jr., and Jake Vukan; his Brothers and Sisters, Joseph Csontos and his wife Ann, David Csontos and his wife Patricia, Ann McCarron and her husband Bill, Mary Eagan, and her husband Tom, Tom Csontos and his wife Dianne, Peter Csontos and his wife Marlene, and Michael Csontos. Bill is Pre-Deceased by his first wife and love of his life, Lois Marie (Weber) Csontos.
Bill’s over 60 years of experience as a plumber included employment with multiple outfits, including Guarini Plumbing and Heating, CONRAIL, N.J. Transit, Metric and Windsor Mechanical. He was a recognized expert in his field, taking the time to teach and mentor hundreds of young new mechanics.
He had a lasting influence in the Jersey City Heights community through volunteer work for St. Nicholas Catholic Church and School, including building the School Library and renovating the former Convent mechanical room. Bill also gave freely of his time to Pershing Field Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball as a Manager and Coach for several teams. He shared his love of baseball with dozens of young men, giving them a positive role model and some structure in their lives.
Bill was a proud Vietnam veteran with service as a Forward Artillery Observer Sergeant in the 1st Battalion, 8th Artillery Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was part of OPERATIONS Attleboro, Cedar Falls and Junction City.
Visitation for Bill will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. His cremation will be private.
