Cecil E. Lewin

Cecil Eugene Lewin, age 90, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma. Cecil was born September 21, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to “L.J.” Lawrence Joseph Lewin and Matilda E. (Lawson) Lewin.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Billy Ford, and James Ford; 2 daughters: Betty Ford Walton, and Brenda Lewin Jackson; and his loving wife, Margie Pennington Ford Lewin. He is survived by his daughters: Mardean Ford of Shawnee, Nancy Ford Frair of Shawnee, Barbara Lewin Sloan and husband Frank of Shawnee, and Ann Ford Meier and husband Jerry of Oklahoma City; his son Larry Lewin and wife Susan of Ada; Grandsons: “T.J.” Jackson and wife Lauree of Blanchard, “Bear” Jackson of Oklahoma City, and many other grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Resthaven Funeral Home from 12:00PM to 7:00PM. A service will be held in Cecil’s honor on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00PM at Wanette Cemetery Chapel in Wanette, OK. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in memory of Cecil Lewin to the Oklahoma Honor Flight, P.O. Box 10492, Midwest City, OK 73140.
