Daniel Rowland Lupton Sr.

Daniel Rowland Lupton Sr. was born May 14, 1941 to Max and Mabel Lupton of Shawnee, OK. He graduated from Shawnee High School in the class of 1959. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1959 to 1963. He worked as a painting contractor for many years. He enjoyed writing poetry, camping, and fishing with his brothers, his son and nephews. He enjoyed college football and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. He was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee, OK. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by parents Max Raymond and Mabel Lillian Lupton. Brothers Morris Blain Lupton, Max Raymond Lupton Jr., Donal Alvin Lupton, George Allen Lupton, Bob Weldon Lupton, Audrie Eleanor Grandcolas, and son Douglass Gene Lupton.

He is survived by his son Daniel R. Lupton Jr. and wife Teresa of Shawnee, OK and daughter Gina Gail Keith of Shawnee, OK. Brothers Samuel Frank Lupton and wife Merroll of Shawnee, OK and Warren Lawrence Lupton and wife Judith of Tahlequah, OK. Sisters Janice Lavern Allee of Houston, TX, Velma Deloris McConnell and husband Eugene of Fullerton, CA. Grandchildren Raeanna Streater, Daniel W. Lupton, Jessica Roberts, Aaron Keith, Kayla Keith, Jennifer Lack, Joshua Wiggins, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
