Lola Latrelle Davis

Lola LaTrelle Davis of Konawa, Oklahoma was born July 5, 1937. She passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 87 years old. LaTrelle was the only daughter of Cecil and Lola (Passons) Brown. She lived at 825 North Park, where she attended all 12 years of school in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

LaTrelle was blessed with two daughters, La Dawn Ragsdale and Ramona Bunch, and five stepchildren. When she was raising her children in Tupelo, Oklahoma, she was very busy with the garden and canning. After all the kids were gone, she had an extra room added to the house which she called her “playroom.” It didn’t take her long to fill the large, extra room with all things crafty. She was active in the Ladies Coal County Extension Club and often invited ladies over to teach or work on some project together. LaTrelle went through several seasons of different crafts. From macramaeing, to painting, to making Christmas decorations, and sewing. In her later years, she mostly made quilts, which she loved to share with her family and friends. Latrelle also enjoyed traveling with friends on bus tours across the United States and Canada.

LaTrelle was a member of the Church of Christ.

When LaTrelle moved to Konawa, Oklahoma, she was active in the community, both at church and with the city council of Konawa.

She was preceded in death by husbands, John Ellis and Richard Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, La Dawn Ragsdale, Allen, TX; Ramona and husband, Terry Bunch, Konawa, OK; grandchildren: Lamanda Mallard and husband, Matt Smith, Dallas, TX; Bradley and wife, Brandie Burris, Elkhart, TX; Michael and wife, Betsey Ragsdale, Chicago, IL; Maggie and husband, Sam Walker, College Station, TX; Sheree and husband, Tyler Cox, Stonewall, OK; Janae and husband, Jeremy Herriman, Konawa, OK; Trey and wife, Sierra Bunch, Konawa, OK; and other step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Levi and Burke Walker; Preslee and Tayler Cox; Colten, Ruger, Stella, Kenna, and Dakota Herriman; Waylon, Wyatt, and Wryder Bunch; great-great-grandson, Dallen Wilkerson

A visitation for Lola will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
