

A graduate of Vanoss High School, she married William D. Sliger in the fall of 1939 and together they had two beautiful daughters, Sandra Kaye and Yvonne Zee. In the spring of 1950 she married Archie B. Fields and they moved to Shawnee, in January of 1951.
She worked in the accounting departments of Sylvania Electric and later, Tinker Air Force Base until she retired in 1984. While working at TAFB she loved to scrap book a collection of “Awards of Excellence” and also attended OBU in the evenings. She loved sewing and entering sweepstakes and she was a fantastic cook. The love for her family was the very core of her life.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Bob Carver, and son-in-law Leroy Jones; four grandchildren she lovingly spoiled and created precious memories with, Chris Carver, Cindy Reagan, Kevin Jones, Kristi Gibson and her husband Jimmy and her stepson and his wife, Jim and Jeanette Fields and their families.
She absolutely adored her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Adrianne, Katie, Kaleigh, Chase, Cailey and Cierra.
The oldest of four children, she is survived by her sister, Juanita Richardson of Telephone, Texas, brother, Louis Johnson and his wife Jean of Pinole, California and a sister Ellen Parson of Edmond, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Sliger and Archie Fields, her daughter Sandra Kaye and granddaughter, Connie Carver.
