Mary T. "Goodman" Wallace

Mary T. “Goodman” Wallace, Shawnee resident passed away January 16, 2013 at the age of 96. She was born January 14, 1917 to William L. & Fairy A.(Hoskins) Thornton in Bartlesville, OK. She grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from Ochelata High School. She moved to Shawnee to attend Cheatmans Business School. After school she worked for Mongomery Ward and transferred to Durant where she met and married Warren D. Goodman. They later moved back to Shawnee where she worked for Stevens Auto Supply as a Cost Accountant. She later was employed at Shawnee Steel where she was a cost accountant and office manager for 26 years, as well as her own business of preparing income taxes. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband; Warren D. Goodman in 1979, her second husband; Lewis Wallace and her brothers; William H. Thornton, Robert F. Thornton, Conlin K. Thornton and daughter-in-law; Barbara K. Goodman. She is survived by her sons; Warren D. Goodman Jr. and wife Linda, and William Edgar Goodman, her granddaughter; Amy K. Andriani and husband Mario, and her great-grandchildren; Ethan, Emma Grace, Elise, and Eve Andriani. Viewing will be from 1-5 PM Sunday January 20 at Resthaven Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
