Maxine was born August 30, 1924 in Moscow, Tennessee. Her family moved to Shawnee in 1926. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1943. Maxine married Winfred “Ray” Marshall in 1945 and in 1946 their daughter Kay Lynn was born. She would have two grandchildren, Kaylee Clayton Hoffman and Edward Lee Clayton, Jr. and two great grandchildren, Calleigh Shayne Hoffman and Charles Edward Clayton. Maxine went home to be with the Lord on June 11th, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Columbus Beal and Lelia Mae Kennon Beal; husband, Ray Marshall; sisters, Lorene Partlow, Gladys Brown and Evelyn Munday; brother, Marvin Columbus Beal, “Jr.”
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Kay Marshall Clayton; grandchildren, Lee Clayton and Kaylee Clayton-Hoffman and their families; a niece, Sandra Roe, and nephew, Dennis Partlow, and their families; many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 1p-4p Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home
Graveside services will be 11am Monday, June 15, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
