Onofre was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Other than his family, one of his top loves was his horses and cattle. He was known as a “Real Cowboy”. He enjoyed rodeoing in college and worked with cutting horses. He was active in several bit and spur clubs as well as fair boards. Onofre has always been an active member of the churches in his communities, his most recent being the Texas Banner Church of God.
Onofre served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Marti Cordova; children: Kay Rodriquez, Pam Hechter (Chel), Tommy Cordova (Nova), and Shelley Southerland (Bobby); 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Cordova; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
