

Died Friday May 11th, 2012. Rosalie was born in Adair, Oklahoma to Susie Elizabeth and Thomas J. Jackson on September 13, 1924. She graduated from Asher High school and then went to work at Douglas Aircraft in Oklahoma City during WWII. She married Sgt. Clifford Upton on July 8th, 1944 and they moved to Blytheville, Arkansas where Clifford was in the Army Air corps. Clifford was sent to the Pacific and Rosalie came home to Shawnee to live. Rosalie and Clifford lived in Shawnee until 1967 then they moved to Oklahoma City and she worked at Sears for 20 years. She won awards while at Sears for sales and being the friendliest employee. She was a memeber of Southern Hills Baptist Church for over 30 years. She took part in many activities there and loved her "Rebekah" Sunday School Class.
After her retirement she took water aerobics at the YMCA and walked at the mall almost everyday. Rosalie was the best friend one could ever have, her friends could always count on her.
Her family was always so important to her and she served as the family's historian. Rosalie is survived by one daughter Roseann (Upton) Coffey and one Son-in-Law, Robert Coffey DDS, that she loved like her own Son. She was a wonderful Grandmother to her three Grandchildren, Rob Coffey (wife Ginger)Kellie Koch (husband Geoff) John Coffey (wife Annie). She was especially proud of her nine Great-Grands, Chloe Coffey, Caroline Coffey, Colton Coffey, Catie Coffey, Jackson Koch, Maggie Koch, Thomas Coffey, Hoyt Coffey and Lucy Coffey. She is also survived by Sisters-in-Law Pam Yort and Bobbie Upton and Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Bob and Judy Upton.
She lived an exemplary life demonstrating faith, hope and love. She was preceeded in death by her husband Clifford, her parents, her brothers- H.C., Tom, and Bill and their wives. Also her Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Mildred and Emry Upton and many of her husband's brothers and sisters.
Our family wants to thank Sommerset Assisted living's staff for the wonderful care they gave Rosalie. The family also wants to thank Lifecare Hospice (all of their Angels).
Service will be held 2PM Tuesday, May 15th at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
