Mr. Albert Charles Colvin, Jr. age 69 of Brooks, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 2, 2018. Mr. Colvin was born on April 24, 1948 in Louisville. He was a Boilermaker, Local 40; a KY Colonel; a former member of Harvest Church of God; an avid golfer and a U of K fanatic and lover of ice cream.
Mr. Colvin is preceded in death by his parents, Albert C. Colvin, Sr. and Evelyn Beatrice (Mason) Colvin.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy L. Blackmon Colvin; children, Chrisy Colvin-Slusher (Tim), and Amy Colvin Minnis (Dennis); grandchildren, Brit Mandelo, Emily Minnis, Anna Minnis; sister, Teresa Colvin Stanley (Robert); sister-in-law, Alesia Blackmon McAlpin (Steve); brother-in-law, Andrew Blackmon (Patty); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2:00 pm till 8:00 pm where Boilermaker rites will be performed at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
