Alice June Bandy

Mrs. Alice June (Brown) Bandy, age 85, of Louisville, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 22, 1939, to the late Garvin Brown and Stella (Abell) Brown. Alice was a homemaker and catholic by faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, bunco and Yahtzee. She liked playing Penny Poker with her brothers as well. She always loved spending time with her family and friends, especially dinners at El Nopal. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garvin and Stella Brown; spouse, H.D Bandy; daughter, Donna June Wilkerson and great-grandchildren, Karleigh Jo Delmenhorst and Nicholas Smothers, and by nine siblings. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Madena (Wade); son, Rick Wilkerson (Marsha); grandchildren, Stacy Delmenhorst (John), Scotty Smothers (Tabitha), Andrew Wilkerson, Brenton Wilkerson, Alicia Wilkerson (Tim), Aaron Wilkerson (Aubrey); great-grandchildren, Maddison Sanders, Asa Smothers, Alayna Smothers, Alec Smothers, and Avonlea Wilkerson; and siblings, William “Bill” Brown, Charles Brown (Prissy) and David Brown (Liz) and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

 A Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 31, 2025, 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, at 2:00 p.m.
