Barbara Edna Gordon

Mrs. Barbara Edna (Kirsch) Gordon, age 84, of Highview returned to her Heavenly Father on November 29, 2021. Mrs. Gordon was born on April 3, 1937, in Louisville, KY to the late Marshall and Allene (Deane) Kirsch. She worked at Peyton’s and was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents, son, Jimmy Gordon; granddaughters, Jennifer Gerwitz and Lindsey Armstrong; and grandson, Caleb Berry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 40 years, James Gordon; children, Kim Gordon, Kevin Armstrong (Michele), Kara Simon (Wayne), Kay Waller (Steve), and Angela Gordon; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, December 4, 2021, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11 am. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1-8 pm and Saturday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
