Betty Jean Caudill, age 86, of Louisville, Ky passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, with her family by her side. Betty was born in Perry County, Kentucky on February 4, 1939, to the late Brach Gross and Thelma Millan. She worked as a toy stocker at Wal-Mart for many years. Betty was a fierce, strong, outspoken, and generous woman. However, most of all Betty loved her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Milton Caudill, grandson Dennis Alvey Jr., 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by her sister Joyce Jones, daughter Zetta Barbee (Mark), son Randy Caudill, daughter Debra Duke (Terry), and grandchildren Jessica Robey, Brad Duke, Cristina Ashley (Justin), Melissa Teague, and James Caudill, 5 great-grandchildren Dylan Alvey, Riley Teague, Charlotte Ashley, Hudson Teague, and Daniel Ashley. Along with other dear family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 01, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 01, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow at Brookland Cemetery.
