Mrs. Betty Jo Shaffer, age 81, of Zoneton, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Mrs. Shaffer was born in Muhlenberg County, KY on February 20, 1944 to the late Arthur and Geneve Oller. She was devoted to caring for her family, an avid fan of Elvis and Chrisitan by faith.
In addition to her parents, her siblings, Arthur, Mary, “Bug” and Nell preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years, Lee Shaffer; children, Becky (David), Jennifer and Robbie; grandchildren, Shelby (Stephanie), Taylor, Geneve, Payton and Jack; sister, Doodle and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 22, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
