

Billy G. Duncan age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on December 20, 2020. Mr. Duncan was born in White Oak Junction, Kentucky on April 25, 1935 to the late Oscar Joshua and Velva Jane “Laxton” Duncan. He retired from Fishers Packing Company as a butcher after 38 years. He is an Army Veteran. He served as a private first class in the army from 1954 to 1956. He was stationed in Hanoi Germany and was a heavy artillery tank driver. Mr. Duncan believed in God’s salvation plan of hearing the gospel preached and bowing at an old time alter of repentance to be saved. He received so many great blessings as he would be driving to work, talking to his Lord. He faithfully lived his life loving and honoring our Savior. He was a faithful member of Fairdale United Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a deacon in 1977. Mr. Duncan was a devoted and caring family man, who cherished and loved them dearly. His happiest days were when he was spending time with them. He loved playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and hearing them call out for Papaw Bill. His heart was always so full of love for his whole family and all of his friends. He was loved by all that were blessed to know him, and he will be dearly missed. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents; 3 sisters, Fayrene Duncan, Nadine Duncan and Nina Duncan; 2 brothers, Bob Duncan and Jim Duncan. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years, Josephine “Gibson” Duncan; daughter, Teresa “Duncan” Sego (Michael); 3 grandchildren, Shaina “Sego” Alvey (Josh), Blake Sego (Heather), and Kara “Sego” Keown (Cody); 9 great grandchildren, Emmakate, Weston, Colton, Shaely, Levi, Silas, Eva Jolie, Nora and Scarlet Jo. Numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 26, 2020 in the chapel of Fairdale United Baptist Church with burial at Lone Hill Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Saturday from 9:30am until time of the service at Fairdale United Baptist Church.
