Bobby Lee Dawson

Mr. Bobby Lee Dawson, age 89, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on February 3, 2018. Mr. Dawson retired from International Harvester and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. He was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and American Legion Post #157. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Horace and Grace French Dawson; six siblings; and grandson, Ricky Stivers, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Sweat Dawson; children, Garrie Dawson, Thomas Dawson (Beverly) and Therese Stivers (Tony); grandchildren, Ashley (Josh), April (Louis) and Justin; great-grandchildren, Alexus, Summer and Addison; and siblings, Eddie Dawson, Betty Dorsey (Bob) and Pat Clayton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church (5915 Outer Loop Louisville, KY 40219) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com
