Mr. Charles Vernon Bumstead, age 68, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Charles was born in Louisville, KY on April 4, 1953, to the late Howard Bumstead and Pauline “Tucker” Bumstead. Charles worked various jobs throughout his life, he was a graduate of Iroquois High School, and he was an Army Veteran.
He leaves behind his daughters, Melanie Franklin (Ross), Madalene Wilson, son Jonathan DeKay (Jessica) 5 grandchildren, Dylan Franklin, Haley Franklin, Mary Elise, Morgan, and Miles. 1 brother Jerry Bumstead (Lynn), and a sister Fran Steinmetz (John); "long-time significant other" Barbara Caskey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 10: 00 am until 12:00 pm. At (Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Highway). Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
