

Christopher Martin Thomas, age 72, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1952, in Louisville, KY to the late William Keith Thomas and Sarah Jane Goodman.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Debby Lynn Thomas, having united in marriage on March 26, 1971; brother, William Keith Thomas; stepfather, Frank Quick; stepmother, Ruth Thomas.
He was a Master Mason and a member of the Bullitt Lodge #155 F&AM and had served in the United States National Guard as a military policeman. He had been employed at International Harvester as a tool & die maker. He retired from General Electric with over 30 years in maintenance . He was a master electrician, mechanic, and considered a jack-of-all trades. There was nothing that he could not fix!
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Missy Humphreys; son-in-law, Scott Humphreys, son, Christopher Thomas, II; grandchildren, Taylor Humphreys (fiancé Seth Wilder); Shelby Humphreys, brother, Hank Thomas (Carol), father-in-law, Walter Wilson; sisters-in-law, Kim Atkinson (James), Cyndi Risen (Danny), Margaret Thomas; brother-in-law, Steve Wilson; nieces, Amber, Sarah, Ayamé; nephews, Jason, James II, Charles, C.J.; special caregivers, Lisa, Sissy; brown pup, Alfie, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery with military honors. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 1 until 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. A masonic service will be held Monday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
