Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Nelson, age 64, of Louisville, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Cindy was born in Louisville, KY on March 11, 1957, to the late Alvin Neff and Emma Sue (Felker) Neff. Cindy worked for over 30 years as a bookkeeper, she loved playing the Violin, she enjoyed taking cruises, Christian concerts, butterfly’s, her dog ginger, and she truly loved her family.
Among those who preceded her in death are her father, and brother Alvin (Tony) Neff, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 30 years Paul Nelson; her mother, Sue Neff, son, Josh Yates, 2 brothers, Mike Neff (Janice), Mark Neff (Kathy), grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hope Cheatham (Isaac), Aly Yates, Nate Yates, Elijah Yates, 1 great-grandchild Kameryn Cheatham; along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 1: 00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
