

Debra Bishop, age 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 6, 2026, with her family by her side. Debra was born on May 25, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Albert and Thelma (Mosley) Bishop. Debra was a Certified Nursing Assistant, a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, and sister. She enjoyed cooking and baking, shopping “especially” at Peddlers Mall, loved to watch her Facebook reels and looked forward to talking with her brother Tommy every morning at 3:00 a.m. Debra would watch Nancy working in the yard and would give her instructions on how to pull weeds the right way. She was crazy about her Yorkie Ginger and her cat Pandora; she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Cora Sue Sutherland, Danny Ray Bishop, Albert F. Bishop, Albert Lee Cook, Judy Odum, Donna Hardy, Sandra Bishop, Jeannette Jordan.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving wife Nancy Thompson, children, David Arnold, Jr., James Arnold (Donna), Michael Arnold (Erin), 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings Dorothy Lee, Linda Ferguson, Cathy Philpot, Noah (Tommy) Bishop, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again Tuesday morning from10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. With burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.
