Edward Richardson

Mr. Edward Richardson, age 83, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Mr. Richardson was born on September 2, 1937 in Knott County, KY to the late Curtis and Euretta (Amburgy) Richardson. He retired from General Electric after many dedicated years of service and he was an avid UK fan. In 1956 he played basketball on the state championship team for Carr Creek High School.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his beloved wife, Phyllis Ann Richardson; brothers, Arthur Richardson, Corbett Richardson, Mitchell Richardson, Wallace Richardson and Solomon Richardson; sisters, Hazel Adams and Mary Hall.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Michael Richardson, Debbie Wilson (Russell), Vicki Richardson Flinchum and Joanna Hoffmann (Derrill); grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Heather, Mariah (Nathan Dugan), Parker, Conner, Wade and Shae; 7 great- grandchildren; sister, Emma Lee Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
