Edward Shepherd

Mr. Edward Shepherd, age 83, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Mr. Shepherd was born on September 19, 1931 in Bullitt Co. to the late James and Gertie Shepherd. He was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church and a retiree from GE.

Among those who preceded him in death include, three grandchildren, James Clinton Shepherd, Heather Renee Macy and Jennifer Nicole Shepherd; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Arlene C. Shepherd; children, Dean Shepherd, David Clinton Shepherd (Cindy), Dennis Shepherd, Connie Starr (Larry), Susan Bernardi (Tom), Gregory Durrett (Lisa), Stan Durrett (Kathy), Millie Durrett (John), Barry Durrett (Robin) and Trish Daugherty (Blaine); 30 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, Emmett and Marvin Shepherd and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance) with interment in Mt. Eden Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
