Elizabeth Betty Page

Mrs. Elizabeth Page, age 79, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on September 7, 2021, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Page was born on January 12, 1942, to John Norman Rose and Mary Alice (McIntyre) Rose in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Page retired after 29 years of service at Roby Elementary School where she held several positions. Betty lived her life with a “no non-sense” attitude. The kindness she exhibited and the compassion she showed knew no bounds. Her gentle spirit allowed her to uplift those around her, even in their lowest times. She was a mentor to the many children she encountered and a friend to those she met along the way. She will always be remembered for her love and concern for those closest to her, and her empathy for others reached well beyond those she held close. Betty was small of stature and large of heart. She was a light that shown bright on her journey through this world and a soul that will not be forgotten. Mrs. Page is preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather, Tommy Thompson; and her late husband, Harry Page.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Mike Page; daughter, Beth Kennell; one grandchild, Hannah Kennell; sister, JoAnn Clark; and a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
