

Gary Leland Eibeck, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 25, 1945, to the late William and Margaret Jump Eibeck in Williamstown, Kentucky. Gary lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and kindness towards others. He was known for his generous heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for his family and friends. A proud supporter of Kentucky basketball, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Wildcats.
Gary fought a long and courageous battle with strength and determination, always surrounded by the love of those closest to him. Through every step, his family remained faithfully by his side, a reflection of the deep bond he built throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Cherrlynn Broin, brother William Melvin Eibeck, his daughter Melanie Eibeck Maxwell, and great grandchildren Arlo Davenport, Kayden Maxwell and Cooper Maxwell.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, kindness, and dedication that will continue through his siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for generations to come. He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Davenport (Mark), Katrina Hardin (Michael); grandchildren, Aryk Davenport (CJ), Tyler Maxwell (Amanda), Darian Davenport (Taylor), Chase Maxwell (Jake), Bryce Maxwell, Madison Hardin, Mason Hardin, Grace Hardin; great-grandchildren, Theo Davenport, Brooks Maxwell, and Sawyer Davenport and Siblings; Wendell Eibeck and Marilyn Hess (David) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schoppenhorst & Underwood Brooks Funeral Home 4895 North Preston Highway, Pioneer Village, Kentucky.
Funeral services will begin 10:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Schoppenhorst & Underwood Brooks Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations in Gary’s memory can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
