Mrs. Geneva Clark Hopper Dunbar, age 83, of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on her birthday, February 5, 2015. Mrs. Dunbar was a homemaker and a member of Shepherdsville Gospel Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Lonnie and Lannie Clark; first husband, Robert H. Hopper; second husband, Loy Dunbar; sons, Robert L. and James E. Hopper; sisters, Cleo Dennis and Helen Longest; and brothers, Herbert and James Clark. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Phillip Hopper (Kay), Raymond Dunbar (Charlotte), Karen Poynter and Shirley Madden (Tom); 15 grandchildren, Troy, Shannon, Richard, Chris, Brian, James, Jr., Jamie, Steven, David, Lori, Tony, Raymond II, Jacob, Angel and Tommy; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Renior Harkness and Margie Brown.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Monday, February 9, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road; use John Harper entrance) with interment in Brookland Cemetery on Tuesday at 10 am.
