He was chairman of KY Turnpike Water District for 22 years and served in an advisory capacity to numerous political endeavors.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Ruby M. (Burks) Burke; his son, Gerald P. Burke Jr.; dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand- nieces and grand- nephews; numerous extended family, step- grandchildren and one especially close and extremely loved (grandson), Justin Odle.
