Gerald D. "Doug" Richardson

Gerald D. “Doug” Richardson, age 68, of Cox’s Creek, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 21, 2024.  He was born on October 10, 1955, in Jefferson County, KY to the late Edward M. Richardson and Margie D. Larimore Richardson.

He was a retired auto mechanic and musician.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Donna Rooks Richardson; son, Joseph Richardson; brothers, Randy Richardson and Ricky Richardson; beloved pet, Alvin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2 until 8 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.   

Family request that memorials take the form of donations to MERF (Musicians Emergency Relief Fund) or Louisville Kennel Club Police Dog Fund.
