Gwendolyn Elaine Spencer

Mrs. Gwendolyn Elaine Spencer, age 69, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Mrs. Spencer was born in Louisville, KY on September 25, 1952 to the late David and Marie “Ollie” Booth. She was a longtime member of Evangel World Prayer Center and she is currently a faithful member of Eastside Praise Church of God.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her siblings, David Booth, Jr., Robert Tomblin, Terry Tomblin and her infant brother; sister-in-law, Mary Tomblin and her best friend/ sister-in-law, Barbie.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 46 ½ years, Tom Spencer; children, Matthew Spencer and Patricia Lynn Payne; grandchildren, Caitlin Payne, Lindsay Payne and Brendan Payne; great-granddaughter, Avianna; brother, Mike Booth (Glenda), sister-in-law, Alice Tomblin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and at Eastside Praise Church of God on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Eastside Praise Church of God (6300 Billtown Rd., Jeffersontown, KY) with burial to follow at King’s Church Cemetery.
