Harlan Allen

Mr. Harlan Allen, age 86, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 27, 2026. Harlan was born in Butler County, Kentucky, on August 23, 1939, to the late Levi Allen and Eululia (LaMastus) Allen. He was a produce manager for Kroger’s for 44 plus years. He was a loving and devoted husband, daddy, and papaw. Harlan enjoyed working in his yard and gardening, he loved the Blueridge Mountains, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his late wife Wilma Ruth Allen, parents, and his 2 brothers Hugh and Hayward Allen, and 2 sisters Lucille Raymer and Evalene Parr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Megan Davis, son Wesley Allen (Tonya), granddaughters, Makayla and Makenna Davis, his grand fur babies Rosie and Polly, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. till time of service at 12 noon. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
