Among those who preceded him in death are, his father, Jimmy McCubbins; brother-in-law, Jimmie D. Jewell and nephew, James Evan Jewell.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rosa Jane Ellis; sister, Melissa Jewell; spouse, Sharon Frazier and her parents, Jerry and Sylvia Porter; step-children, Jeremy Woods (Autumn) and Joshua Woods (Karey); step- grandchildren, Carter, Jeraiah, Camden and Van and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 12:00 pm until the time of his service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home.
