

Mr. James “Jim” Edward Bryant, age 70, of Brooks, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2025. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 17, 1954, to the late Albert David Bryant and Margie Lee (Lindsey) Bryant. Jim was a United States Marine Veteran, he worked for 35 years as a tile layer, and 3 years as an employee of the United States Post Office. He enjoyed golfing and trips to Myrtle Beach. Jim was a diehard University of Kentucky and Miami Dolphins fan. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Bryant, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years, his parents, Albert David Bryant, and Margie Lee Lindsey, and his brother Donald Bryant, and sister Vicky Welborn.
James is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Bryant; with whom they shared 8 wonderful years; his sister Nancy Blanchett (Rick); his brother, David Bryant (Sandy); and his sister Carla King (Johnny). He is also survived by his children: James Bryant Jr. (Tammy), Jaime Bryant, Jillian Hatton (Donald), Cintha Belanger (Anthony), and Bruce Yeary. His cherished grandchildren include Lexius. Natalie, Audrey, Brenna, Mackayla, Ka’Dynn, Serenity, Lena, Logan, Nate and Casey; great-granddaughter, Haisley Bryant, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
