Age 80, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. John was born in Louisville, KY on October 14, 1943, to the late John Edward and Alberta Rose Schneider Connell. John was a Electrician and a member of IBEW #369, he was a member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian of 60 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, his son, Stephen Connell (Dana), three daughters, Julie Reynolds (Ron), Cathy Rogers (Mark), Mickey Millay (Dave), six grandchildren, Joshua Connell (Lily), Danielle Smith (Doug), Kennedy Davis (Brady), Abby Hopwood (Tyson), Zachary Millay, Drew Millay, three great grandchildren, Tobias Connell, Ava Hopwood and Brooklyn Davis, two sisters, Kate Black, and Martha Micallef, along with a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 29, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 11501 Maple Way, Louisville, KY 40229, with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home ( North Preston Hwy at Brooks Road).
