John Logan Thompson

Mr. John Logan Thompson, age 61, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday January 6th, 2025. Mr. Thompson was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph Thompson Jr. and Leona (Cloyd) Thompson Kendall. John was known by all as “The Uncle.” Everyone loved being around John, and he in turn loved being with them just as much. He made family time a priority. He loved playing computer games, hunting, music and science fiction movies. John loved sitting on the porch drinking bourbon and smoking cigars. Watching hummingbirds, and feeding the squirrels were some of his favorite things to do. John will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, and stepfather, James Kendall Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Jeannie Miles (John); nieces and nephews, Sean Slider (Brittany), Jessica Baker (Zack), Jamie Sparks, and Katie Woolley; great nieces and nephews, Isabella Slider, Alaina Slider, Khaleesi Brown, Madison Woolley, Isabella Woolley, Christopher Robinson, and Aurora Robinson; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1pm- 8pm and Tuesday from 9am until time of service at the funeral home.
