Joseph C. Moore

Joseph C. Moore, age 86 of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 25, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Moore was born in Marion County, KY on April 19,1936 to the late Albert Moore and Clarice Bright Moore.

He was a member of Mother Seton Catholic Church. He retired from GE where he was a forklift operator. He loved to work in his yard and liked to garden. He also enjoyed his outings where he could sit and listen to live country music.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Moore, Catherine Knopp, James Moore and Beulah Mae Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Virginia Wilcher Moore of 64 years; children, Joseph “Mitch” Moore, Lawrence “Dean” Moore, Sheila Gail Moore and Mark Moore; grandchildren, Joshua Landrum (Anna), Whitney Landrum McClure (Justin); great grandchildren, Alex, Presley, Oakley, Kori, Layne, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the timeof service at the funeral home.
